The wrong way to use a bench

A game called bench is what we played this morning. The aim of bench ball is: There are two teams, two benches, one ball and that is it.

The first bench is placed on one side of the court and the other is on the opposite side.
If we have two teams called the green team and the red team. one green member is on one bench and one red team member is on the other bench. There can be one guard so if the guard is on the red team he/she will stand in front of the green member on the bench.

The people that aren't guards or people on the bench they have to pass the ball to one another until a team member throws the ball to someone on the bench. The person on the bench has to catch the ball when it is thrown to them and if they do the person that threw it gets on the bench too.

We were asked to think of a team goal as a class we did inclusion meaning to pass to others. Also Positive attitude which is to have fun while playing.

My team did really well and I don't think there is a thing we could change.

Revolution Tour

It was Tuesday the 28th when a group called the Revolution Tour came to my school. We went to the Auditorium where we were greeted and asked to sit. We sat down and the leader of this group Reggie Dabbs asked us to sing some songs with him. He made the songs better as he plays the saxophone which made the music amazing. Afterwards Reggie asked us to point at someone who fits certain category's.
There were 5 people on the stage for this game show they had to answer questions about bullying. There were 4 kids they all got there questions right but the teacher who had the hardest question was not able to answer right and got it wrong. He then eventually talked about his childhood it was bad. It was really emotional and everyone showed a lot of empathy. He came to tell us one message and that was about bullying and I took so much more knowledge away about bullying and how to stop it.

My spooky song writing

27/5/19

LO: Create a piece of writing that describes a place or setting inspired
by your song.

Main POI’s mansion, grand hall, cliff, fall/dive, imaginative dramatic serious
Scene, grand canyon, adventure, cinematic, leap of faith,

There was an imaginative mansion atop of a cliff.
In each direction was a new wonderland to explore it
was amazing when facing toward the north a grand canyon roars
as the water flows, to the east was a dark forest with stunning and
fascinating creatures. Toward the south a patch of green grass where
the grass and flowers thrive and the friendliest animals jump around
enjoying the land. Lastly to the west a a dark misty land.
I was travelling through the dark and misty land as i did
random instruments rose from the ground and played a
very serious and sorrowful song that chilled my whole
body even my bones. As i paced away the sound followed
me i couldn't get away from it i was horrified, anxious so
many feelings rushed through me. I wasn't sure what to
think it slowly got closer and closer then it calmed and got quieter.
Then the moon set here it was twisted this dark misty place turned to day
i found my way back to the mansion and fell asleep then woke up in real
life it was amazingly terrifying.

Ki O Rahi playing rules

In Ki o rahi two teams are formed. 1 team is called Kioma the other team is Taniwha.
The Kioma has the goal of touching poles/pou with a ball/ki.
Taniwha have the goal of hitting the tupu/bin in the middle of the play area.

The field is 3 circles they are named Te Roto, Te Ao and Pawero.
Te Roto is the circle that Taniwha enter with the ball/ki to hit the bin/tupu Kioma can't enter here.
Te Ao is the circle surrounded by pou. Kioma hit these poles then score in Pawero.
Pawero is the center circle. Kioma once hitting the pou place it down there.
Kioma also protect the bin/tupu in this circle with Kaitiaki/guard.

When the game starts a team grab the ball if touched 2 times before accomplishing their goal
it is a hand over. 3 Taniwha can be in Te Ao at a time.

There is one last circle called Te Marama that is where the ball is started.
From Te Marama the ball/ki is kicked thrown whatever into the playing field.

When Kioma scores the ball/ki goes back to Te Marama when Taniwha hit the tupu the game continues.

As Tuesday the 14th of May graced us with its presence we travelled to the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist temple.
We were there to participate in the 3G 4G event. 3G means 3 goodness and 4G mean 4 givings.
We walked around there temple participating in activities. My group started by first entering and talking to a teacher
in this art gallery about 3G 4G and what it means. We then made a flower not a real one but we made a lotus.
After we had made them we watched a video about a Buddha. How he practiced through his life to be a Buddha.
It showed how he helped others and how he lived by 3G 4G.

We then walked upstairs to this time hallway which showed day and night using pillars.
The teacher explained what the hallway meant and we moved on. We entered a small library
to talk about the books and what we get from a library. After we went outside were we arrived to
get water tattoos we were told to hold them for 40 seconds for them to work they came out amazing.
Once we got these cool tattoos we had a break. During this break we were given some cookies and water.
We sat and talked for a bit we then got a picture with our tattoos. When we had done everything outside we
headed inside to meditate and bathe a very small statue of a Buddha. We were given a very small  type of bell
which i’ll call the 3G 4G bell once we had them we blew on them a bit soon after we left to come back to school.

Pink Shirt Day

We were asked to make a poster talking about Pink Shirt Day. I tried to make mine as descriptive as possible.
