Passion Projects (Ring Making).

My goal today is to get everything sorted out and to know what we need to do for today and next period. What we really want is to get started on our project and start making rings and collecting our resources. previously we have been researching ideas and designs. We are going to make the rings by using hex nuts and filing the outside to make it smooth and to file the inside to make it fit our fingers. We have picked a few engraving we want to include in our rings.

I am working with my friend Addyson, we are both currently working on filing our hex nuts. Our driving question is "how to make a ring?" We've had to file the inside to fit our fingers and to make it comfortable to wear. So far the only equipment we have needed and used is a file and vice. When we get it to the right shape and thickness we want we are planning to use sandpaper to smooth it out and get rid of some bumps and look presentable.

Interpersonal Skills

If I were an entrepreneur/business owner I would need to have conversational skills to be able to make decisions with co-owners and be able to run all parts of my business by listening to my staff.

Yellow Brick Road. (English).

Witi Imimaera is an author from Gisborne New Zealand. With 21 of his stories adapted to screen adaptation. I have never heard of the term yellow brick road therefore it has no meaning to me. I imagine the story of a yellow brick road about a group of people working together to go somewhere or follow a dangerous route.

The narrator (speaker) believes them and their family are moving to Wellington for a better life involving more money. 1 of the big difference between Waituhi and Wellington  that the narrator mentions is that Wellington is a lot more populated with Pakeha than Waituhi. Dad also mentions there being a lot of jobs to uncle Sam compared to Waituhi. As the narrator draws closer to the city their mood starts to change, they become a lot more uneasy. The story mentions Emerald City, yellow brick road, Flying Monkeys, scarecrow, tinman, and cowardly Lion which are all references to the Wizard of Oz book. The author may have made these connections/references because moving from one place to another more wealthy/better place is precisely what happens in both movies.
