We were asked to make a DLO about some of the musicians and bands. Here is a slideshow of mine.

The sound of a fresh start

I have recently started Music which replaces science. My task today is to answer certain questions. Here are the questions we were asked about.

What is Music? What types are there?  Music is different sounds that beat together to make a lasting song.
Some different types of music are Rap, pop, rock and roll and hip hop thats a very small amount it would take hours to write all of them.

Where can we find/hear/experience music?  You can find music anywhere and music is normally outstanding. It is amazing to hear these different beats so i would suggest making your own no matter what your skill.

I prefer rock music over all others. The beat is very easy to hear and is so amazing. I like to listen to a this song that is sort of rock. Rock makes me feel alive, A song that I believe is very nice is chop suey.

What do you want to learn about/ do in Music Hurumanu? I want to learn about instrument and how to play more specifically drums. I love the beat and how easy they can be to play.

I really like music so far and can't wait for what is to happen with this in the future.   

This happier is sad

We were asked to create a creative writing about a music video. The music video was the song happier by marshmallow. We were told to pick a girl or a puppy. I have diced the puppy here is my writing.

I was in this unfamiliar place I wasn't sure where I was. I knew this strange box on these circle things was moving but I had no idea where. This moving thing stopped in an instance. Although it was a nice feeling to get out of the weird thing and see the fiery sun. I saw this house and was very curious about what was about to happen. I was picked up by this tall figure and realised it was a man. He was very careful in picking me up which lead to me trusting him. I was asked to sit for a minute, while I was sitting I heard screams of joy and lots of laughter. 

He then picked me back up and took me over to a girl. This girls face lighted up with joy when her eyes made contact with me. A short while after it was just me and her alone, we had a great time because the man had supplied us with a ball. I got tired so quickly running back and forth for the ball. I fell to the ground enjoying the nice warm grass. The world looked very beautiful as I rose from my slumber. I was amazed at how easy it was to sleep in this little patch of grass. This girl came outside and took me to a room which I could call my own. It was very empty to start with but after a while it was full of toys.

Every day when she came home we would play for ages it was really fun to do. I played with my toys while she was away it wasn't as fun but it was enjoyable. Days passed then years any day she was sad I managed to cheer her up. As she got older she was harder to recognise she looked so much different. I slowly got more lazy and tired, It got to the point where I couldn't run. I would just lie there. I still looked after her as long as I could however I was at the worst point of my life and was put down.    

This task was amazing to do as there was so much to write about and it really got me thinking about how a dog feels .

That Kiwi Kaha

Today we have been in our school gym watching and playing certain games. A group we now call kiwi kaha was making this happen. 

They started with a game in which the participants had a balloon in between their backs while walking to a finish line. Rarotonga and Shanarnia did this however at the end it fell causing us to get last in this event. 

Then Hans had a spaghetti stick and had to get pasta pieces onto it without dropping the pasta he got last as well. 

Jayden had a cookie on his forehead and had to get it in his mouth without dropping it he got 4th. Jayden also did a paper blowing challenge. Where he had to blow a piece of paper over a finish line he got 5th.  

Then Jesse came 3rd in keeping three balloons in the air using his hands.

Hamid and Tevita had one person blowing bubbles while the other blew them in the air.

Tamani had cone flipping. He had to flip one cone and then flip another one on top of that he came 3rd in that challenge.

Zack  had to answer questions without saying yes or no. Mrs Hastie asked these questions if he failed he would get squirted with water. He lost and got squirted with water.

The three M's

On Monday the 8th we worked around mean, median and mode.
Here is what these three different things mean.
Mean= Adding all your number together and dived that answer by the amount of number you had.
Median= The number that is in the centre.
Mode= The number that appears the most.   

We did all of these with 3 different groups of seven that all had their own value.
I love maths however I found this less interesting than other maths.

How ever it was still refreshing to learn about. It was sort of difficult.
I think these things could be valuable in a game show situation.       

Simple sentences

In music we were learning how to write descriptive sentences. We started with a boring sentence and turned into something amazing here are my sentences.

The sentences go from worst to best.
The music was loud.
The melody was deafening.
The melody started at 10:00 pm and was deafening.
In the club the melody started at 10:00 pm and was deafening.
In the club the beautiful melody started at 10:00 pm and was deafening.
In the boys club the beautiful melody started at 10:00 pm and was deafening.

It was really fun to think of these different things and was quite difficult to do which made it even more fun.

Ball to the Bench

We have started a new hurumanu which is P.E/ We are on each others team PS that's the name

now we will start writing-On Tuesday we did P.E. We started on Tuesday we played a game called bench ball if you don't  know how to play here you go -BenchBall - click the link if you what to know how to play.
Now that you may or may not have watched the video what do you think. I Really liked it and would love to do it again. I was normally the last and second to last person in. We won 3/5 of our games but it still really fun to do. I think that the one thing that could be better is us working on where the boundaries are.
SO this was a really fun game and would suggest it to you.
