Aim:
Seperate the ink pigments of 1 colour/chromatography.
Equipment:
Beaker, coloured felt, and water.
Hypothesis
We are using the colur blue. I think that the ink pigments inside the blue coloured dot will seperate revealing a purple colour and closer to the bottom a really light colour.
Method
Get a small peice of paper, fill a beaker with 50ml of water, put a dot of any colour a little bit up the paper, Don't put the dot in the water but just below the dot should be in the water.
Results:
Our dark blue dots seperated up and down. A lighter blue formed above the dark blue dot and below it was a dark purple and below that was a light pink.
2nd Result.
We did black dots after to see the results of it. The black had a tiny bit of orange form below it and very small amoun tof blue and purple.
Discussion:
The blue was made up of a lighter blue a purple aand a pink.
The black was made up of very little clours at first but was then made of pink, purple, light blue, a little bit of brown, orange and yellow.
The darker the colour the more pigments.
