Parihaka

Here is a map of where Parihaka is.

The British they came to symbolize 'peaceful resistance'.

The leaders of Parihaka were Te Whiti o Rongomai & Tohu Kakahi.

The people of Parihaka protested by taking land pegs out of the ground. It was a peaceful protest.

Guy fawkes is celebrated here in New Zealand but we should celebrate the Parihaka leaders instead of guy fawkes. Because the leaders of Parihaka are New Zealanders and guy fawkes is UK celebration.

This is a little poster about Te Whiti and Tohu Kakahi.
